4 Golds at S A Olive Awards

Farmer Peter, of Zoetigheyd Organic Olive Farm, the home of Olive Hill Guest House, together with our farm manager, Daniel, have just won 4 golds and 1 silver award for our delicious Extra Virgin Olive Oil at the South African Olive awards.

Peter and Daniel use no chemicals on the farm, ensuring that the eco system on the farm maintains the balance and harmony of nature.

Zoetigheyd has its own olive press, built using strict international export requirements.

We offer a free olive oil tasting conducted by Daniel for anyone staying at Olive Hill Guest House. This is an experience not to be missed. We guarantee you will be a fan for life.

Our special foil packaging preserves the life of the olive oil by not allowing oxygen and light to come into contact with the oil. It's also easy to use and not messy in the kitchen.

You will also receive a gift of a bottle of Olive oil and Olives when you check in.

Our 2020 harvest has been the highlight of this difficult time. With a crop which supercedes anything we have had before, we have been fortunate to have all 25 pickers locked down on the farm with us. Our fantastic guest house manager, Modester, has been feeding everyone delicious meals including her free range eggs and Daniel's (our farm manager) organic kale or covo as they call it in Zimbabwe.

According to Daniel and Peter, the oil is delicious and hopefully worth a couple of Gold awards.

We are looking forward to hosting guests again especially those city folk who have been locked down in their homes. Our fantastic weather and fresh, crisp air are tonic for the body and soul, not to mention our organic cold pressed extra virgin olive oil.

Olive Hill Guest House is situated on Zoetigheyd Organic Olive Farm where we will be harvesting our organic olives from the beginning of April for about 6 weeks.

We pick and press all the olives on our farm ensuring freshness and great quality in our award winning extra virgin olive oil.

How about bringing your family and friends to see how it is done and savour the oil fresh from the press?

Olive Hill Guest House is set in the olive grove, so you will be in the midst of it all. It is likely to still be warm so you can watch the process from the pool if you prefer.
